Founding Engineering Lead — Spatial AI
Build the core of the intelligence layer that turns signals into protection.
The mission
Pinaca is building India's Spatial AI Layer — turning raw signals from cameras and sensors into protection. You'll architect it end to end, from real-time computer vision at the edge to the cloud intelligence layer, and set the engineering bar for everyone who follows. This is a founding role: you own how it's built, and help decide what gets built.
The stack you'll lead
What you'll own
- Architect the platform end to end: real-time CV pipelines (DeepStream / GStreamer), inference (TensorRT / ONNX), FastAPI microservices, and the operator-facing frontend.
- Take systems from prototype to mission-critical, production-grade reliability — where a dropped frame has consequences.
- Own the full lifecycle: RTSP ingest, model optimization, edge deployment, vector search at scale, and DevOps / MLOps.
- Build and mentor the founding engineering team; set the bar for how Pinaca ships.
What we're looking for
- 7+ years building software, with real experience leading teams or owning systems end to end.
- Deep, in-production computer vision / deep learning — streaming video, not just notebooks.
- Hands-on GPU-accelerated pipelines (DeepStream / GStreamer / TensorRT) and edge deployment (Jetson / embedded).
- Strength across the stack — Python + FastAPI, MongoDB / Redis, vector search, and a modern web layer.
- A proven 0→1 builder who has made something real from nothing.
Signals that set you apart
- Defense, surveillance, geospatial, or robotics exposure.
- Systems-level performance work in C++, CUDA, or Rust.
Who you are — a Pinacan
You are not simply an employee — you are entrusted with responsibility. You seek truth, earn trust, build for mission-critical environments, and put the mission above recognition.
